THE CIRCUIT OF THE 9 LAKES OF THE CARLIT

LA BOUCLE DES 9 ÉTANGS DU CARLIT

Departure: Lake of The Bouillouses (2017m)

Go along the Bouillouses lake for 150m, then follow the path on the left leading to the refuge.
Leave the refuge on your right and continue to the entrance of the woods (West).
After 15 minutes of walking and this short walk through the woods, follow the trail to the northwest.
At the junction located at 2143 m, leave the Estany del Viver on the right and take the path on the left which crosses a shelter between the Estany Negre, the Estany Sec (on the left) and the Estany de la Comassa (on the right) which you reach after 30 minutes' walk. The trail continues and passes over the Estany Llong on the left to a junction located around 2230 m where you will find the Estany de Vallel after 1 hour's walk. Take to the right the path that runs along this lake and you quickly reach the Estany de les Dugues. It then descends through a small valley full of vegetation to reach the Estany Del Viver and the intersection of the path used on the way there (1h30 walk). Continue the descent to reach the Hotel des Bones Hores and the car park after about 2 hours of walking.
