Situated on the edge of the Ariege region of France and the principality of and Andorra, this is the resort for extreme sports! Its deep, carved relief make it a lot like the Alps. The Mine ski-lift and, new this year, the Grand Fontfrède ski-lift, take you to an altitude of 2,500 metres, which is the highest station in the Catalan Snows. There are slopes for all tastes and all levels of ability.
Forty-five kilometres of slopes and 32 pistes will delight snow lovers and powder freaks. With 900 vertical metres of slopes, one of the largest in the Pyrenees, the village resort of Porte-Puymorens has a distinctly sporty character. Its snow park is 500 meters long.
