THAT'S WORTH A VISIT!

The Church of St Martin d'Hix is one of the jewels of Cerdan Romanesque religious art. In the 12th century, it was in Hix that the Catalan kings came to Hix when the threats from Toulouse called them to the limits of their states. It is for our kings that a Romanesque masterpiece was raised. Everything recalls the architectural perfection called to serve as a setting for royal prayer. Inside, the 12th century Virgin and Child, a Romanesque Christ from the early 13th century, the 16th century altarpiece of St Martin and the baroque altarpiece of the main altar further enhance the ensemble.
