    THAT' S WORTH A VISIT!

    The little yellow train: Designed in 1865 in the buildings of the Department of Transport of the Pyrenees, it left Villefranche-de-Conflent in 1902. The yellow train plan made it possible to bring the track to Bourg-Madame in 1911. In 1927, he joined Enveitg-Latour-de-Carol where 3 track gauges meet: the Spanish gauge and the standard French gauge and the metric track of the yellow train. Over 60 km, the small yellow train climbs 1,200 metres of positive gradient;
    Estavar station is located in the field and you have to signal the driver for the train to stop.

    ÇA VAUT LE DETOUR !

    Le petit train jaune : Conçu en 1865 dans les locaux du Service d’étude des Transports Pyrénéens, il partit en 1902 de Villefranche-de-Conflent. Le projet du train jaune a permis de faire arriver la voie à Bourg-Madame en 1911. En 1927, il rejoint Enveitg-Latour-de-Carol où se rejoignent 3 écartements de voies : l’écartement espagnol et l’écartement français standard et la voie métrique du train jaune Sur 60 km, le petit train jaune gravit 1 200 mètres de dénivelée positive ;
    La gare d’Estavar est située en plein champ et il faut faire signe au conducteur pour que le train s’arrête.
